itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Il Castello di Velturno \u00e8 uno dei meravigliosi monumenti ancora oggi esistenti che fu di propriet\u00e0 dei principi vescovi di Bressanone. L\u2019edificio risalente al tardo XVI secolo \u00e8 rimasto sorprendentemente intatto fino ai giorni nostri superando persino la Hofburg di Bressanone per ci\u00f2 che concerne le decorazioni parietali.<\/p>\n<p>Fino alla secolarizzazione la residenza appartenne al Principato di Bressanone per poi passare al governo austriaco e poco dopo a quello bavarese. In occasione di una vendita all\u2019asta, l\u2019oste di Chiusa, Jakob Wegleiter, acquist\u00f2 la tenuta che utilizz\u00f2 per la sua locanda Mondschein. Elisabeth Regele, vedova del medico Peter Paul Regele, vendette la propriet\u00e0 nel 1822 al barone Anton von Goldegg che si adoper\u00f2 con grande impegno per migliorare le condizioni della residenza. Nel 1875 suo figlio Hugo cedette Castel Velturno al principe Johann von Lichtenstein, che nel 1904 lo don\u00f2 al Comune di Bolzano. Date le pessime condizioni in cui versava l\u2019edificio al tempo, si avanz\u00f2 l\u2019ipotesi di rimuovere la boiserie della Stanza del Principe e di trasferirla nel Museo Civico di Bolzano, progetto che fortunatamente non fu mai realizzato. Negli anni a seguire il palazzo fu inopportunamente adibito ad asilo nido, scuola, centrale telefonica e teatro. Nel 1979 il prezioso immobile divenne propriet\u00e0 dell\u2019Alto Adige e tra il 1980 e il 1983 fu restaurato e risistemato in modo esemplare. Oggi \u00e8 considerato il pi\u00f9 prezioso monumento dell\u2019Alto Adige.<\/p>\n<p>In quanto tale Castel Velturno \u00e8 innanzitutto un patrimonio culturale adibito a museo che tra i mesi di marzo e novembre apre le sue porte al
